After the Cruise: Vancouver Island and Victoria

On the second day, we took B.C. Ferry (which transports both passengers and cars) to Vancouver Island. The ferry was popular, and we had to wait for two hours before boarding. Consequently, we didn't get to explore the island and the city of Victoria as fully as we wished. However, it was nonetheless and enjoyable trip.

Waiting in line for the ferry. Fortunately, with our jackpot car rental, a Lincoln Continental, Helen was comfortable. We got lucky because Hertz ran out of intermediate cars and upgraded us for free.

We first went to Victoria City and had tea at the famous Empress Hotel.

We went to the Butchart Gardens afterwards.
