On our second day of touring in Japan, we began our drive from Kyoto to Tokyo. Our goal was to spread the trip over a few days to visit some sights along the way. On this day, we traveled along Lake Biwa and visited the old city of Omi-Hachiman, famous for its merchants during the Edo period. Next, we went to to Hakone-jo, one of Japan's only wooden castles still standing. Lastly, we passed Nagoya and traveled to Tagata-jinja, a famous fertility shrine.
